Quick Background
: I, personally, never read with these cards as they are too fragile, only taking them out from time to time to look at them, then put them back in storage. I purchased the cards about 20 years ago in order to learn what the oldest Rider-Waite cards looked and felt like so I would recognize authentic antique/vintage cards, particularly the Rider-Waite, in my travels. These cards, by the way, were used as part of an online study a number of years ago of the old Rider-Waites because this particular deck is of an earlier, minutely thicker cardstock than the later printing of the Pamela A, I was told. At one time I owned all editions of Pamela A, B, C, and D but have slowly sold them off over the years as I downsize my collection. All the markers of an authentic Pamela A are here in this deck (that cardstock, sun card oopsy, mountain peaks of Fool, cross-hatch method of skin shading, etc.). I am now ready to part with my Pamela A and pass it on to another seeker or collector.
