Antique Patent 1917 by H.E. Nock silver plated strainer spoon with an enclosed gold washed screen to strain any liquid passing through the funneled area of the spoon and into the mouth. "From the Nock patent application: “My invention is an improved tea- and coffee-strainer for domestic use. The object of my improvement is to provide a dripless strainer of ornamental design and simple construction, easy and convenient to manipulate and adapt to prevent the contents from dripping when it is set down on the table at intervals in its use" Stamped on bottom is Patent 1917, P & B (enclosed in three hearts) Measures approx. 4-1/2 inches long "Old" condition with patina, no mechanical damage.. "Sold-as-found" - not cleaned or altered in any way - please examine all pictures very carefully carefully!
