Description
This tarot deck may not appeal to everyone, but if you've not felt a full connection with more traditional Tarot decks, which it has barely recognizable resemblances to, you might fall in love with it. The following excepts from the introductory material in the book - which is indispensable to reading the deck - will give you the underlying idea. "Research by feminist historians has uncovered information that matriarchies predated patriarchies throughout the world. In myth, the male deities originally appeared as sons and consorts of the powerful goddesses. Only later, when men rewrote the myths, did they become mighty father gods. Today we have a male-dominated culture. It appears that the younger gender - men - overtook the older gender - women - and with it wiped out 8,000 years of knowledge and herstory. In our quest to re-establish reverence for the female and to also provide powerful role models and images for wimmin, we have re-ordered the male and female qualities of the tarot. Male cards have been removed and their powers returned to appropriate female goddesses.... We have included wimin of every race, age, shape and class. Our message is to all womyn, excluding none. Our hope is that everyone using these cards will be able to find several mirrors which reflect their dreams and visions."Both the deck and the book have been treated very reverently by the previous owner. There are no creases in the cards and no writing or loose pages in the book. The previous owner told me that her understanding of the deck deepened with every reading.

The previous owner hopes that this item finds its way to a nimbler version of herself. I'm sure that there's lots of positive energy remaining in the deck, but if you'd like to start afresh, you can infuse it with new energy by bathing it in the light of the full moon.
